Daun dan Biji Srikaya (Annona squamosa L.) dan Potensinya sebagai Antikanker

Abstract

Srikaya (Annona squamosa) secara tradisional sudah lama digunakan untuk mengobati berbagai penyakit. Potensi senyawa-senyawa dalam srikaya sebagai antikanker membuat daun dan biji srikaya sering digunakan sebagai obyek penelitian. Tulisan ini memuat beberapa hasil penelitian daun dan biji srikaya sebagai antikanker baik secara in vitro maupun in vivo. Penelusuran kepustakaan menggunakan peramban Google Scholar, Scopus, PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan SpringerLink. Srikaya memiliki senyawa yang berpotensi seperti diterpene, alkaloid, acetogenin, siklopeptida, flavonoid, tannin, dan saponin sebagai kandidat antikanker. Daun dan biji srikaya terbukti memiliki aktivitas antikanker Studi lebih lanjut tentang mekanisme aktivitas antikanker terhadap setiap senyawa yang berperan sebagai antikanker sangat penting dilakukan agar dapat dijadikan sebagai rerefensi yang utuh dalam penerapan ilmu farmasi, biomedis ataupun pertanian.
