Article Writing Policy and Ethics


Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan (JINTP) is a journal that publishes author articles written based on research results. JINTP is committed to publishing high-quality articles and prioritizes public trust in research findings and gives awards to authors according to the ideas they produce. The honesty of a researcher to obtain data to be written into an article is the main requirement for JINTP. In addition, the articles submitted are free from conflicts of interest. JINTP ensures that all published articles have followed publication ethics in accordance with the ethical principles of publication that have been agreed upon by all journal publishers. Publication ethical standards must be performed by all stakeholders in order to create a conducive environment and avoid problems that arise due to violations of publication ethics by authors. This document presents publication ethics policy in Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan and ethical code statement as a guideline for all journal stakeholders.

Publication and Writing

Authors of articles to be published in JINTP must fulfill the writing requirements. All authors listed in the article have to contribute to the conception, design, execution, data processing, data analysis or interpretation of the text. Article is the responsibility of the authors. Authors must ensure that all co-authors are included in the manuscript. The lead author must submit a form (Form A) stating that they have all seen and approved of the final version of the manuscript and have agreed to submit it for publication. Requests to add or remove author(s) or to set author names from manuscripts received prior to publication, should be sent to the Chief Editor.

Authors Responsibility

Authors must follow the manuscript review process set by Jurnal Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan (JINTP). The authors are responsible for the transparency of the original data (no plagiarism, no fraudulent data) from the submitted articles, and are willing to add other data when requested by the Chief Editor. Article sent to JINTP has never been published (unless they have been presented in a seminar) and is not sent to other journals. If the manuscript contains data that has been published, the source must be acknowledged and properly cited. Authors must ensure that research using animals is performed in accordance with animal ethics and welfare. Authors must obey the review from reviewers and publication agreements. Authors report research responsibly when involving humans or animals. Any issues must be stated including financial, personal or related organizations that may affect the work/research project. All funding sources and sponsors (if any) in the research project must be included in the acknowledgments section. Authors are asked to be willing to issue corrections, clarifications, retractions, and apologies when necessary.

Reviewers Responsibility

Reviewers who have been appointed by the Editor-in-Chief help improve the quality of articles through an objective review process within the scheduled time, as well as contributed to making decisions on acceptance of articles. If the reviewer finds that the article has about 20% similarity with the published article, the reviewer must notify the Chief Editor. Reviewers do not have conflicts of interest in relation to research, authors and or research funders. Any confidentiality of information provided by the editor or author must be maintained by the reviewers.

Editors Responsibility

Editors have full responsibility and authority to accept or reject articles. Editors must be objective, transparent and independent when carrying out their duties to accept or reject articles and not discriminate on the gender, ethnicity, religion, political views or geographical origin of the authors. Editors may not have a conflict of interest with respect to the articles they accept or reject and accept manuscripts based on the quality of the articles according to JINTP standards.

Publication Ethics 

Authors, reviewers, and editors must maintain the integrity of academic records throughout the entire publication process. Business needs must be precluded and not compromised by intellectual and ethical standards.

Ethical Code of Experimental Animal

Authors must ensure that research involving animals is performed in accordance with animal ethics and welfare. All experimental animals must be cared for and used in accordance with international, national or local regulations. The authors must state explicitly in a statement/letter including the name of the ethics authority and approval number, that the experiment is approved by the authority regarding ethical compliance and animal welfare.

Authors may refer to the International Standards for Editors and Authors ( by COPE (Committee on Publication Ethics) for policies not listed in these instructions.
