About the Journal

Aims. Current Biomedicine (p-ISSN: 2962-8490; e-ISSN: 2985-4784) is an open-access and peer-reviewed scientific journal that aims to publish research, reviews, case studies, and short communication in the biomedical field.

Scope. Current Biomedicine encompasses widely relevant topics in biology (life science), directly or indirectly, to support human and animal health, which can benefit each other (one medicine). These fields include (but are not limited to) anatomy, physiology, histology, embryology, genetics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacy, parasitology, pathology, microbiology, clinics, radiology and imaging, surgery, experimental surgery, reproduction, ethnomedicine, phytopharmaceuticals, biotechnology, biomedical engineering, bioinformatics, public health, epidemiology, legislation and bioethics, and one health.

Article Type. Articles proposed for publication include research, review, case study, and short communication articles.

Publication Frequency. Current Biomedicine is published bi-annually, namely in January and July. The first issue was published in January 2023.

 

Language. Current Biomedicine accepts articles in Indonesian or English. Articles in Indonesian that are accepted after peer review can be translated into English at a cost to the author.

 

Article Processing Charge. Articles published in Current Biomedicine are FREE of submission and article processing charge (APC). Journal management is fully funded by the School of Veterinary Medicine and Biomedical Sciences (SVMBS/SKHB), IPB University. 

 

Peer-review process. The peer-review process is carried out in a double-anonymized system. All procedures and decisions are independent, transparent, and accountable. The final decision is up to two months after receipt of a well-formatted manuscript unless additional review is needed or it depends on the author's response or revision.

 

Publisher. SVMBS IPB University collaborates with the Indonesia Veterinary Medical Association (IVMA/PDHI) to publish Current Biomedicine (Letter No. 001/E/KU/PBPDHI/XII/2022 dated 29 December 2022), and with PT Penerbit IPB Press that supports designing, layout, and printing the journal articles.
