One of the efforts to develop a business is to carry
out spatial analysis and production functions. This is necessary to determine the feasibility of a
particular system location and variables that affect a business. This study aims to determine the
spatial character of the distribution of business units and several variables that influence the
production process to develop this business. Analysis of spatial pattern of swallow's nest business
is done by using Average Nearest Neighbor (ANN). Income Analysis is done by calculating the
difference between receipts and costs. Production function analysis is done by using Normality
Test, Multicollinearity Test, Autocorrelation Test, and Heteroscedastic Test. The results showed
that the distribution of swallow's nest business units in North Jakarta was clustered, which was
only found in 3 sub-districts i.e. Penjaringan, Tanjung Priok and Cilincing. The pattern showed
that the swallow’s nest business unit is profitable for business actors, it can attract the interest of
the community and make competition more competitive. Production function are influenced by raw
materials, water filter equipment, and electricity costs. Efforts to develop by reviewing the
licencing of the Swallow’s Birdnest Business units in North Jakarta, thus it remains in accordance
with the city spatial design plan and government policies.
Muh. Sekaroh tourism village is one of the rural tourism that
has the opportunity to become a tourist village. To make Sekaroh village a tourist village, various
studies are needed to develop it towards a better direction. Therefore, the purpose of this research
is to formulate a strategy to develop Sekaroh village. This type of research is qualitative research
with data collection methods used, namely observation, interviews, documentation and focus group
discussions. Meanwhile, the data analysis used is SOAR analysis (strength, opportunitie, aspiration
and result). Based on the study that has been done, there are five recommendations in developing
Sekaroh village, among others, the formulation of village development planning through
collaboration between stakeholders. Therefore, it is necessary to study the superior commodities by considering agribusiness systems from upstream to downstream in order to increase regional competitiveness and people's welfare. This study was conducted to identify superior food crops and examine the agribusiness system of superior food crops in Lima Puluh Kota Regency. Based on the analysis of superior commodities using Location Quotient (LQ) and Shift Share Analysis (SSA), superior food crop commodities are rice, corn, peanut, and cassava. These superior commodities are spread over 8 districts, namely Mungka, Payakumbuh, Harau (rice), Guguak, Luak, Lareh Sago Halaban (corn), Suliki (peanuts), and Akabiluru (cassava). The analysis of the agribusiness system describes the conditions of each agribusiness sub-system of the superior food crop commodities starting from the upstream (on-farm) downstream (off-farm). The agribusiness system for superior food crop commodities in Lima Puluh Kota Regency has not run well, integrated and synergistic, especially in the downstream agribusiness subsystem.
Barirah Marlinda, Iskandar Lubis, Santun R.P Sitorus Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Regional and Rural Development Planning (Jurnal Perencanaan Pembangunan Wilayah dan Perdesaan) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/p2wd/article/view/46403 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 23:41:27 +0700 Feasibility of Mangrove Forest Products as Fabric Natural Dyes in Garut Regency https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/p2wd/article/view/44435
Mangrove forests have tangible and intangible benefits, but mangrove deforestation and degradation in Indonesia are relatively high due to economic reasons. Mangroves can contribute economically by considering social and economic characteristics, such as natural dye on traditional fabrics. Unfortunately, studies on mangroves' potential as a natural fabric dye and their relationship with social and economic potential are limited. Therefore, this study aimed to analyze the feasibility, prospects, and challenges in developing natural dyes from mangroves for traditional fabrics. Through field observations in the Leuweung Sancang Nature Reserve in Garut Regency, interviews, and literature studies, this study used a descriptive approach with SWOT and financial analysis. At least three mangrove species can be used as natural dyes to produce brown color variants: Bruguiera gymnorrizha, Rhizophora mucronata, and Rhizophora apiculata. The strategic location, with an intense fabric industry and high community motivation, provided opportunities to develop mangrove dye products. The business was feasible and resistant to the economic crisis. However, even though the community knows the mangrove benefits of natural fabric dyes, there was no development practice because of no assistance in processing. Supports from the government, forestry extension agents, NGOs, and universities are essential for mangrove conservation while improving livelihood and economic welfare through the mangrove natural dyes business.
Fitta Setiajiati, Shyfa Syalsyabila, Hendri Pribadi, Rakha Aditya Poetra, Ilya Fauziah, Sukma Novitasari Copyright (c) 2023 Journal of Regional and Rural Development Planning (Jurnal Perencanaan Pembangunan Wilayah dan Perdesaan) http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0 https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/p2wd/article/view/44435 Thu, 30 Nov 2023 23:42:59 +0700
