Abstract

Desa Wisata Cimindi  is one of the continuously growing tourist destinations in the current digital era. However, the management of businesses in the village still faces various challenges, particularly in providing efficient services to tourists. In order to enhance the tourists' experience and operational efficiency, this research proposes the implementation of a Virtual Business Assistant (VBA) through an omnichannel-based chatbot application. This study explores the potential of chatbot applications to improve interactions and services for tourists visiting Cimindi Tourist Village. The chatbot application is designed to operate across various communication channels (WhatsApp, Telegram, Instagram), including automated text messaging and live chat. The VBA will be capable of providing information about tourist attractions, food recommendations, event schedules, and assistance to visitors. The research methods used in this study include qualitative methods, and the system development method utilized is Extreme Programming. The source of information is the head of BUMDesa Alkautsar Cimindi. Testing conducted in this research is of the Blackbox type. The results of this research demonstrate that the application functions effectively and is expected to provide valuable insights for tourism managers, entrepreneurs, and information technology researchers interested in integrating chatbot technology in the context of rural tourism.
