Jannah et al. (2015) conducted a study on Islamic gardens with the method of approaching the value of the content of the Qur'an and hadith, which examined the elements and characteristics of the park as well as sharia boundaries that must be considered in an Islamic garden. This study aims to continue the research which is applied to the mosque garden landscape through the evaluation stage, so that the final result can be recommended in the form of a design based on the concept of an Islamic garden. The research object chosen is the Landscape of the Jamik Sumenep Mosque. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive method and literature study, which consisted of the following stages: 1) Evaluation of the mosque garden landscape based on Islamic concepts, 2) User perception analysis, and 3) Preparation of recommendations for the mosque garden landscape design concept. The process of collecting qualitative descriptive data is done by direct observation in the field, interviews with related parties, distributing questionnaires and documentation. While the literature study was taken from the main literature in Islam, namely the Qur'an and hadith, along with other scientific literature related to the Islamic garden. Based on the results of the evaluation and perceptions of respondents, in general the garden landscape of the Jamik Sumenep Mosque is in accordance with the criteria for garden inspiration based on Islamic concepts, there are no garden elements and characteristics that are contrary to sharia. The resulting design recommendations are in the form of a site plan, adding plant species to the garden, adding a sinage, a fountain element, arranging parking lots, structuring circulation paths and adding trash cans. Respondents' perception stated that the garden landscape of the Jamik Sumenep mosque played a very important role in supporting the function of the mosque as a center of worship.

Keywords: Mosque, Landscape Evaluation, Islamic Garden.
Sujai Hesti Triana Soelistyari Rizki Alfian Copyright (c) 2024 Sujai, Hesti Triana Soelistyari, Rizki Alfian https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-04-01 2024-04-01 16 1 14 23 10.29244/jli.v16i1.42955 Persepsi dan Preferensi terhadap Vertical Greenery Berdasarkan SBE di Kota Pekanbaru https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jli/article/view/43471
Vertical greenery in the city of Pekanbaru is very difficult to find because there are still many people who do not know the various benefits and uses of vertical greenery with limited land. The landscape of Tegaldeeng kampong has very high potential in terms of natural and cultural resources. Efforts to prevent the degradation of the culture and the potential of the traditional landscape need to be studied in the kampong landscape pattern. This study aims to identify and analyze the character of the landscape and the elements that make up the settlement landscape, and to compose the landscape pattern of Tegaldeeng kampong based on local culture. This research was conducted using descriptive method through literature study, interview, and field observation. The settlement character of Tegaldeeng kampong landscape is relatively flat in the settlement area, and slightly undulating outside the area. The dominant land cover is rice fields and mixed gardens. The character is formed by supporting elements in the form of natural and artificial elements. Natural elements function more as a 'borrowing landscape' for the settlement landscape, except for the river that crosses the western village border. The man-made elements include rice fields, mixed gardens, settlements, and main road. The landscape of Tegaldeeng kampong settlement forms a cluster patterns, and able to accommodates all cultural activities of the local community.
Davin Nugrahatama Andi Gunawan Prita Indah Pratiwi Copyright (c) 2024 Davin Nugrahatama, Andi Gunawan, Prita Indah Pratiwi https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-04-01 2024-04-01 16 1 31 37 10.29244/jli.v16i1.43947 Tipologi Aplikasi Infrastruktur Hijau Skala Komunitas pada Kampung Kota di Indonesia https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jli/article/view/46747
This paper addresses one of the knowledge gaps that exists in green infrastructure (GI) discourses, that is the lack of understanding on the application of GI at community scale. GI was first introduced as an alternative to address problems caused by rapid urbanisation. Recently, GI has become a crucial part of strategies to achieve sustainable development and therefore has been widely advocated for its environmental, social, and economic benefits. Although the concepts and benefits of green infrastructure have been widely discussed and recognized in the literature, much of the discussions on GI tend to revolve around its applications at the city and regional scales, while the application of small scale GI at the community level has not been much explored, despite the importance of multiscale principle in the application of GI. To address that issue, this study focuses on the application of small-scale GI at the community level. It employed a systematic review to analyse publications, including articles published in scientific journals and news on reliable mass media on the internet, regarding the application of small-scale GI in 23 Indonesian urban kampung. The study shows that in dense settlements like urban kampung, community scale GI emerges as an alternative solution to the lack of space for GI development. From the 23 cases analysed, GI is mostly intended to function as a mean for environmental conservation and to promote food security.
Jimly Al Faraby Rizky Asa Aulia Trisedya Bernardinus Realino Justin Novandri Priambudi Alifia Zahra Pramesti Copyright (c) 2024 Jimly Al Faraby, Rizky Asa Aulia Trisedya, Bernardinus Realino Justin Novandri Priambudi, Alifia Zahra Pramesti https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by/4.0 2024-04-01 2024-04-01 16 1 38 47 10.29244/jli.v16i1.46747 Perencanaan Lanskap Kecamatan Pangkalan Karawang sebagai Kawasan Wisata Terpadu Berbasis Masyarakat (Community Based Tourism) https://jai.ipb.ac.id/index.php/jli/article/view/47191
Pangkalan District has been designated as a tourism destination by department of tourism and culture of Karawang Regency. However, facilities and accessibility for visitors, and participation of human resources in planning tourism destination still not optimal. The objective of this study is to create landscape plan for community-based tourism (CBT) at Pangkalan district as an integrated tourist area in Karawang Regency.
